Visit an old part of London

Modern life is hectic and none of us needs to be chasing round in hot, sweaty, diesel-flavoured air. Step back in time and swap bustling for perambulation.

Think about it: old buildings (or the ones that survived, anyway) have big airy rooms, are made of nice cool stone and often come with big gardens and trees. Just what you need.

Cemeteries are probably best - lots of leaf cover and marble.

Just a thought. Remember, these places were designed by very clever people before they got round to inventing air conditioning.
